Position Summary:
The Aeronautical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of aircraft and aerospace systems. The role focuses on improving flight safety, efficiency, and performance while ensuring compliance with aviation standards and regulations. The engineer works closely with design, testing, and manufacturing teams to deliver innovative and reliable aerospace solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
🛠️ Design & Development
Design and develop aircraft components, structures, and systems.
Use CAD/CAM software (CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) for 2D/3D modeling.
Analyze aerodynamic, structural, and propulsion systems to optimize performance.
Conduct feasibility studies for new design concepts and prototypes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and testing.
🧪 Testing & Analysis
Perform wind tunnel tests, flight simulations, and performance evaluations.
Analyze test results to identify design flaws or areas of improvement.
Conduct structural and fatigue analysis using tools like ANSYS or MATLAB.
Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards (DGCA, FAA, EASA).
⚙️ Production & Maintenance
Support the manufacturing process by providing technical input and design validation.
Assist in maintenance planning, fault diagnosis, and repair of aircraft systems.
Evaluate materials and production methods for efficiency and durability.
📋 Documentation & Compliance
Prepare technical reports, test documentation, and certification papers.
Ensure compliance with aviation standards and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate records of design modifications, testing, and approvals.
💡 Innovation & Research
Research emerging aerospace technologies and materials.
Contribute to projects related to UAVs, satellites, or space vehicles.
Suggest improvements for existing aircraft systems and components.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight mechanics
Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (CATIA, ANSYS, MATLAB, SolidWorks)
Knowledge of CFD and FEA tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Good technical documentation and communication abilities
Team collaboration and project management skills
Awareness of aviation safety regulations and standards
Qualifications:
Education: B.E./B.Tech (M.E./M.Tech preferred)
Experience: 0–5 years (entry-level to mid-level); internship or industry experience preferred
Certifications (optional): CATIA, ANSYS, MATLAB, or DGCA-approved training
Work Environment:
Office and lab-based work with occasional visits to test sites or manufacturing units
Collaboration with design, testing, and maintenance teams
May involve travel for inspections, trials, or client meetings
